THIS WEEK: Tournaments in Birmingham and Tashkent were won by Julie Halard-Decugis and Anna Smashnova respectively, making them the biggest movers of the week. Note that unfortunately the WTA rankings below are a week old - the official site has somehow reverted to rankings from the 17th of May! It is very quiet on the women's tour between the French Open and Wimbledon - maybe they're asleep over there.

Just having a look down the list, there's only one huge disagreement between the SRI Rankings Top 50 Women and the WTA system for players between about 25 and 40: Ines Gorrochategui, quarter- finalist at Birmingham, is sitting at 37 despite being WTA #92 last week.
