THIS WEEK: A reasonably quiet week in which Marcelo Rios successfully defended his Heineken Open title in Singapore. His rating drops slightly overall. Greg Rusedski (up from 5 to 4, ATP #7 -> #6) beat Nicolas Kiefer (up from 12 to 10, ATP #11 -> #8) in a five-set final in Vienna.

Pete Sampras won in Vienna last year, so his rating takes a beating this week. He is now closer to third than first.
